Auckland’s Waterfront is celebrating Her Majesty’s birthday with a right royal knees-up over Queens Birthday. Leg it down to the waterfront for a smashing good time. From Queens Wharf to Silo Park, the waterfront will be a showcase of the Best of British – Food, Games and Movies.
Kicking off Queen’s Birthday weekend, Silo Cinema will screen Monty Python’s The Life of Brian on Friday 1 June. This utterly Bwitish comedy will have you in stitches. (Stwike him, Centuwion. Stwike him vewy wuffly!)
From Saturday throughout the weekend, head to the Queens Wharf for a spot of tea and some quintessentially English games.
There is plenty for the young tykes too; throughout the weekend join the hunt for Her Majesty’s Crown jewels and on Sunday there will be a special Silo Cinema - the original Alice in Wonderland complete with Mad Hatters tea Party (at the family friendly time of 5.30).
God Save the Queen!
