Pescado - North Wharf, Wynyard Quarter
A true fusion of Spanish and Kiwi, Pescado (Spanish for ‘fish’) is the place to be on the waterfront for amazing seafood tapas. Owner Kubi set up Pescado in the early 2000s. He’s a big foodie, so if it’s on the menu, you can bet it’s delicious. He doesn’t serve anything he wouldn’t eat himself.
Pescado’s Andalusian interior was designed by a kiwi who worked on Peter Jackson’s sets. The magical décorcombined with Spanish music and delicious smells from the open kitchen – so you can see your food being made – will transport you to the south of Spain.
